Quality Officer jobs in Fujairah are increasingly important within the UAE’s aviation and airport operations sector. Fujairah International Airport is seeking qualified professionals with expertise in aviation quality assurance, ISO 9001 certification standards, safety management systems (SMS), regulatory compliance, internal audit procedures, and airport operations quality control. Candidates experienced in risk management frameworks, civil aviation authority regulations, quality management systems (QMS), and compliance documentation will play a key role in maintaining international aviation safety and operational excellence.
Qualification
Aa a minimum, degree level qualification in a field related to aviation and/or similar industrial safety/quality discipline/s.
Additional professional accreditations and affiliations are highly desirable.
Sound functional knowledge of the practical application of skills, particularly structured safety and quality systems, shall be demonstrable.
At least 5 years of practical experience in safety and quality management systems.
Significant experience within an Airport environment with significant traffic movements is desirable.
A proven record in successful service delivery and audit process is desirable.
Lead (QMS/IMS) Auditor certified is must.
Knowledge of ACI / ICAO / IATA standards and recommended practices and GCAA Regulations highly desirable:
– GCAA Car Part IX and supporting regulations
– GCAA State Safety Programme / Aerodrome SMS
– GCAA Aerodrome Certification Process (CAAP–30)
– GCAA Aerodrome Projects (CAAP‐59)
– GCAA Regulatory Oversight Process
– GCAA Enforcement Process
ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications: QHSE ‐ 2015 quality and environmental standards and 2018 OH&S standard.
Knowledge of the Aerodrome / Quality Assurance Processes and Procedures.
Airport emergency and security procedures.
Airline operations and crisis management.
Audit Management (Preferable).
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.
Aircraft ground services operation.
Technical background to understand the systems that support operations.
Must possess supervisory skills and effective supervision of team.
Must have good command in written and spoken English and Arabic (Preferable).
Experience
Ensure that airport operations satisfy the prescribed requirements to deliver compliance with GCAA requirements, standards and best practices related to aviation and business safety.
Ensure integrated management systems policies and procedures is adhered to at all times and all FIA processes/procedures are up to date.
Supervise the quality team to ensure an efficient function through achievement and maintenance of the aviation standards to ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are achieved and maintained.
Supervise and coordinates the development and review of integrated management systems documentation.
Ensure the quality assurance/internal audit program meets the requirements of the regulatory and prescribed standards. Directs members of the internal audit group in conducting audits, to assure the establishment and regulatory standards are met.
Ensure and Supervise the Document Change Request Process with proper review for initial issue or revision.
Ensure that quality assurance/internal audits are carried out and recorded that encompasses all activities authorized under the airport certificate.
Assigns training of new auditors to qualified members of the internal audit under Quality Manager supervision.
Liaise with stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure provision of information and support to the operators within the aerodrome for the purpose of clarification, policy announcements, operational information and support includes giving advice on regulations and standards.
Ensure the oversight of procedures and controls covering all areas of operations activity so that all relevant procedural and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
Ensure that Objectives are created for internal and external interested parties and determine KPIs to monitor their performance and identify opportunities for safety and efficiency improvements within Fujairah International Airport.
Ensure that airport activities always compliant with the GCAA Aerodrome Certification process and prescribed standards. Activities performed are critical to the process and ensuring that the airport continues to hold its license and certificates.
Develop, maintain and update, as needed, IMS documents and other appropriate procedures
