Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety Compliance

• Implement and enforce company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and legal requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and risks.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety laws, standards, and best practices.

Risk Assessment & Hazard Control

Training & Awareness

• Organize regular safety awareness sessions and toolbox talks.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all departments.
• Educate employees on emergency procedures and safe work practices.
• Ensure all workers understand and comply with safety guidelines.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and inspection logs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports for management.
• Document incidents, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Ensure all safety documentation is updated and properly filed.
• Coordinate with management and regulatory authorities during inspections.

Emergency Preparedness

• Develop and implement emergency response plans.
• Conduct fire drills and emergency evacuation training.
• Ensure availability and proper functioning of safety equipment.
• Respond quickly and effectively to onsite emergencies.
• Coordinate with emergency services when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Valid safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent preferred).
• Previous experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle site responsibilities.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
• Physically fit and capable of site inspections.
