Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve assigned targets.
• Identify and approach new customers and business opportunities within the F&V market.
• Generate leads through market research, referrals, networking, and direct business development.
• Develop new accounts and expand the company’s customer base.
• Maintain regular communication with existing customers to encourage repeat business.
• Monitor market opportunities and recommend potential areas for sales growth.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

F&V Industry Sales

• Use strong knowledge of the Fruits & Vegetables industry to understand customer requirements and market trends.
• Maintain awareness of product availability, quality, pricing, seasonal demand, and market conditions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Understand customer purchasing patterns and develop suitable sales approaches.
• Monitor competitor activities and market pricing.
• Provide management with relevant market feedback and sales insights.
• Build strong relationships with customers across the F&V supply chain.

Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain professional relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Understand customer requirements and provide suitable product solutions.
• Handle customer inquiries, quotations, orders, and sales-related concerns.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and resolve issues professionally.
• Follow up on orders, deliveries, payments, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales information.
• Develop long-term relationships that support customer retention and business growth.

Negotiation & Order Management

• Prepare quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and commercial conditions within company guidelines.
• Follow up with customers regarding quotations and pending orders.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and accounts teams to ensure smooth order processing.
• Monitor order status and communicate delivery updates to customers.
• Ensure customer orders are processed accurately.
• Address pricing, quantity, quality, or delivery concerns in coordination with relevant departments.

Sales Reporting & Market Analysis

• Prepare regular sales reports and performance updates for management.
• Monitor sales targets, revenue, customer accounts, and order volumes.
• Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Track customer purchasing patterns and market demand.
• Provide feedback on competitor pricing, market conditions, and customer preferences.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer visits, leads, and opportunities.

Collections & Commercial Coordination

• Coordinate with the accounts team regarding customer payments and outstanding balances.
• Follow up with customers on overdue payments according to company procedures.
• Support effective credit control and customer account management.
• Ensure sales transactions are properly documented.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing or payment-related concerns.
• Maintain professional relationships while supporting timely collections.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Fruits & Vegetables (F&V) industry.
• Strong understanding of the F&V market, products, customers, and sales processes.
• Proven experience in achieving sales targets.
• Strong business development and customer relationship management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Good understanding of market pricing and customer requirements.
• Ability to identify new business opportunities.
