Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the school.
• Record daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Process student fee collections and maintain fee payment records.
• Monitor outstanding fees and coordinate follow-ups with parents or guardians when necessary.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers accurately.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain General Ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Support budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor school expenses and ensure proper cost allocation.
• Prepare reports related to student fees, operational expenses, and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and school financial policies.
• Maintain organized financial records for audit and regulatory purposes.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Assist management in analyzing financial data and preparing management reports.
• Ensure confidentiality of financial and student-related information.
• Support administrative and finance-related projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience; prior school or educational institution experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Experience handling Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and management reports.
