Key Responsibilities

Student Transportation

• Safely transport students between designated pickup and drop-off points.
• Follow assigned school bus routes and transportation schedules accurately.
• Ensure students board and leave the bus only at approved locations.
• Maintain a calm, safe, and professional environment inside the school bus.
• Exercise extra care when transporting young students.
• Ensure students remain seated and follow appropriate safety procedures during journeys.
• Report any student-related safety concerns to the appropriate school staff.

Safe Driving

• Operate the school bus responsibly and safely at all times.
• Follow all UAE traffic regulations and road safety requirements.
• Maintain appropriate speed and safe following distances.
• Remain alert to pedestrians, cyclists, road conditions, and surrounding traffic.
• Avoid unsafe driving practices and distractions while operating the vehicle.
• Follow school transportation policies and approved driving procedures.
• Maintain a safe and responsible driving record.

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

• Conduct basic checks of the school bus before and after daily routes.
• Check tyres, brakes, lights, mirrors, doors, seat belts, and other safety equipment.
• Report mechanical problems or safety issues immediately.
• Keep the school bus clean, tidy, and suitable for student transportation.
• Ensure emergency and safety equipment is available and functional.
• Coordinate with the transport or maintenance team regarding servicing requirements.

Route & Schedule Management

• Follow designated routes and daily transportation schedules.
• Arrive at pickup points on time.
• Coordinate with school transport supervisors regarding route changes or delays.
• Report traffic problems, accidents, breakdowns, or unexpected delays promptly.
• Maintain accurate trip and route-related records where required.
• Ensure students are transported according to approved school procedures.

Communication & Professional Conduct

• Communicate respectfully with students, parents, teachers, and school staff.
• Respond professionally to transportation-related questions and concerns.
• Maintain student confidentiality and follow school policies.
• Immediately report accidents, incidents, or emergencies to management.
• Cooperate with school administration and transportation teams.
• Demonstrate patience, reliability, and a professional attitude at all times.

Requirements

• Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence – Mandatory.
• Previous school bus driving experience is preferred.
• Safe and responsible driving record.
• Good knowledge of UAE roads and traffic regulations.
• Strong awareness of road and passenger safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy personality.
• Ability to follow fixed routes and schedules.
• Ability to work according to school transportation timings.
• Physically and mentally capable of performing driving duties safely.
