Senior Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, and daily financial transactions.

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UAE standards.

• Oversee project costing, budget tracking, revenue recognition, subcontractor billing, and progress payments.

• Ensure full VAT compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns, audits, and documentation.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audits, management review, and regulatory requirements.

• Perform bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, and project-related financial analysis.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, updating documentation, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

• Provide financial insights, forecasting, and analysis to management for informed decision-making.

• Develop and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting systems.

• Supervise, mentor, and support junior accountants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE construction/contracting sector.

• Strong understanding of UAE tax laws, VAT regulations, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle deadlines effectively.
