Site Accountant Full Time

The Site Accountant role at Yas Projects in Al Ain is ideal for professionals experienced in construction accounting, cost control, site budgeting, payroll processing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site-level accounting operations, including recording daily financial transactions related to construction activities.

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, ensuring all site expenses, invoices, and payments are properly recorded.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable related to site operations, including supplier invoices and subcontractor payments.

• Monitor and control construction costs, comparing actual expenditures against budgets and forecasts.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site expense reports and submit them to the head office for review.

• Perform bank, cash, and petty cash reconciliations for site transactions.

• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and cost summaries.

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including proper documentation and basic VAT calculations related to site expenses.

• Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, and head office finance to resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

• 3–5 years of experience as a Site Accountant within the UAE construction industry.

• Strong understanding of construction cost control, site operations, and project accounting.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of UAE VAT laws and their application to construction projects.

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
