Key Responsibilities

Material Receiving & Inspection

• Receive materials, tools, hardware, and consumables delivered to the store.
• Inspect incoming materials for quantity, quality, condition, and specifications.
• Check received items against delivery notes, purchase orders, and approved documents.
• Verify item descriptions, quantities, and units before accepting deliveries.
• Identify damaged, incorrect, missing, or excess materials during receiving.
• Report discrepancies to the Store Manager, Procurement, or relevant department.
• Ensure properly authorized documentation is available for every receipt.

Storage & Material Arrangement

• Properly arrange and store materials in designated locations.
• Ensure materials are stored safely to prevent damage, loss, deterioration, or wastage.
• Organize hardware, tools, consumables, and fit-out materials for easy identification.
• Maintain appropriate storage conditions for different types of materials.
• Use suitable labeling and identification methods.
• Ensure frequently used materials are easily accessible.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.

Material Issuing

• Issue materials to site, production, and project teams based on approved material requests.
• Verify authorization before releasing stock.
• Record all material issues accurately in the ERP system or stock records.
• Ensure quantities issued match approved requests.
• Obtain appropriate acknowledgment for issued materials.
• Monitor material consumption and report unusual usage when required.
• Coordinate with project and site teams regarding material requirements.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory balances.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and compare results with system records.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and report findings to management.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Identify low-stock items and coordinate with Procurement for replenishment.
• Monitor slow-moving, excess, damaged, and obsolete materials.
• Ensure stock records are updated after every receipt, issue, return, or transfer.

Material Movement & Transfers

• Track material movements between warehouse, factory, and project sites.
• Maintain proper records for inter-location stock transfers.
• Ensure transfer documents are complete and properly authorized.
• Coordinate with logistics and project teams for material movement.
• Verify quantities before dispatching materials to other locations.
• Follow up on transferred materials and update inventory records accordingly.

Documentation & Records

• Maintain accurate documentation for GRNs, material issues, returns, and transfers.
• Prepare and maintain Goods Received Notes and relevant stock documents.
• Keep delivery notes, purchase orders, material requests, and transfer records properly filed.
• Update ERP records promptly after every inventory transaction.
• Prepare stock reports and inventory statements when required.
• Support management with accurate stock information and documentation.

Stock-Taking & Reporting

• Support monthly and annual stock-taking activities.
• Prepare materials and records for physical inventory verification.
• Assist auditors and management during stock inspections.
• Report damaged, missing, excess, or unaccounted materials.
• Prepare stock discrepancy reports when required.
• Support reconciliation between physical inventory and ERP records.

Requirements

• Previous Storekeeper or warehouse experience is preferred.
• Experience in interior fit-out or construction is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of fit-out materials, hardware, tools, and consumables.
• Practical understanding of stock control and inventory management.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a busy construction or project environment.
