Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and daily financial transactions.
• Record journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
• Maintain the General Ledger (GL) and subsidiary ledgers.
• Ensure all accounting records are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
• Verify financial transactions before processing.
• Maintain organized accounting files for future reference.

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Manage customer invoices and monitor outstanding receivables.
• Prepare payment schedules and customer account statements.
• Perform regular reconciliations of supplier and customer accounts.
• Resolve payment discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor cash inflows and outflows effectively.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve differences.
• Generate cash flow reports and financial summaries.
• Support budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Provide financial reports to management for decision-making.

VAT & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting practices and financial regulations.
• Prepare and maintain VAT-related records and documentation.
• Assist in VAT return preparation and filing.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Maintain compliance with company financial policies.
• Ensure confidentiality of financial information at all times.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in general accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of the complete accounting cycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
