Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
• Record daily journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
• Manage the General Ledger (GL) and subsidiary ledgers.
• Verify financial transactions before posting.
• Ensure all accounting records are complete and properly documented.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting files.

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections.
• Reconcile supplier and customer account balances.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables professionally.
• Process credit notes, debit notes, and payment adjustments.
• Resolve payment discrepancies promptly.

Bank Reconciliation & Financial Reporting

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile cash balances and financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Generate management reports and financial summaries.
• Support budgeting and financial forecasting activities.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
• Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.
• Support internal and external auditors during financial audits.
• Assist with VAT and tax-related documentation where applicable.
• Monitor compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Administrative & Business Support

• Coordinate with HR, Procurement, Sales, and Operations departments.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting.
• Maintain inventory-related accounting records when required.
• Prepare expense reports and reimbursement documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes.
• Perform additional finance-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous experience in general accounting is preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
