Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries accurately.
• Maintain complete and up-to-date financial records.
• Verify invoices, receipts, payment documents, and other accounting records.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger entries.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded on time.
• Maintain organized physical and digital accounting files.

Accounts Payable

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) activities and supplier transactions.
• Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents.
• Process payment requests and maintain payment records.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding supplier balances.
• Coordinate with procurement and other departments regarding invoice approvals and payments.

Accounts Receivable

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Prepare and process customer invoices.
• Record customer payments accurately.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams regarding payment-related matters.

Bank Reconciliation & General Ledger

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Compare bank statements with accounting records.
• Investigate and resolve differences promptly.
• Maintain accurate bank and cash records.
• Prepare and post appropriate journal entries.
• Review General Ledger accounts and ensure balances are accurate.
• Assist with account reconciliations and supporting schedules.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and assist with financial reports and management summaries.
• Support preparation of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and accounting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines.
• Provide financial data and reports to management when required.
• Support budgeting and basic financial analysis activities.

UAE Tax Compliance

• Maintain accounting records required for UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Assist with VAT-related documentation and reporting.
• Support Corporate Tax record preparation and compliance activities.
• Ensure financial transactions are properly documented for tax purposes.
• Coordinate with management or external tax consultants when required.
• Keep updated with applicable accounting and tax requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
• Practical experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience in bank reconciliation and General Ledger management.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience in financial reporting and month-end closing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a finance team.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
