Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
• Verify invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
• Ensure all accounting transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
• Maintain organized physical and digital accounting files.

Accounts Payable

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) transactions and supplier accounts.
• Verify supplier invoices and supporting documents.
• Process approved payment requests and maintain payment records.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding supplier balances and payment schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement and other departments regarding invoices and payments.

Accounts Receivable

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Prepare customer invoices and record incoming payments.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Follow up on pending payments when required.
• Maintain accurate customer account records.

Bank Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Compare bank statements with accounting records.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies.
• Record bank charges, deposits, transfers, and other transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash and bank records.
• Prepare reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and accounting summaries.
• Prepare monthly accounting schedules and supporting reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and basic financial analysis.
• Provide accurate financial information to management when required.
• Ensure reports are supported by complete and accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Practical experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Good knowledge of bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a finance team.
