Accountant Full Time

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities for F&B or restaurant operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts, including sales, purchases, expenses, and general ledger entries.

• Record daily revenue from POS systems and ensure proper reconciliation with cash, bank, and card transactions.

• Monitor food and beverage costs, analyze variances, and support management with cost control and profitability analysis.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

• Ensure financial reports comply with applicable accounting standards and internal reporting requirements.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and POS reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely vendor payments and collection of receivables.

• Review supplier invoices, contracts, and expense claims for accuracy and proper authorization.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock valuation, and wastage, coordinating closely with restaurant and store teams.

• Support VAT compliance, including preparation of VAT returns, maintaining documentation, and ensuring timely submissions.

• Coordinate with auditors and consultants during internal and external audits, providing required financial data and explanations.

• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risks.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.

• Assist management with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and company policies at all times.

• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records for audit and reference purposes.

• Communicate effectively with restaurant managers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding financial matters.

• Use accounting software and advanced MS Excel functions to generate accurate financial reports.

• Handle confidential financial information with integrity and professionalism.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong exposure to F&B / restaurant operations, including POS systems, inventory, and cost control.

• Based in Dubai or willing to work in Dubai.

• Good knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
