Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations related to logistics activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.

• Maintain job-wise accounting records, tracking income, costs, and profitability for individual logistics jobs and consignments.

• Perform reconciliations of accounts, including bank, cash, vendor, customer, and job-wise reconciliations.

• Monitor and record expenses related to logistics operations, including transportation, fuel, freight, customs, and handling charges.

• Ensure accurate allocation of costs to the correct jobs, routes, or clients for proper financial analysis.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of supplier invoices and customer billing.

• Verify invoices and supporting documents for accuracy, approval, and compliance with company policies.

• Prepare monthly financial summaries, job-wise reports, and expense analysis for management review.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate cost and revenue data.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records for audit and reference purposes.

• Assist in VAT-related documentation and ensure transactions are properly recorded as per UAE VAT regulations.

• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to obtain job details, cost information, and supporting documents.

• Use accounting systems to update records and generate reports in a timely manner.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company procedures.

• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial data and explanations.

• Identify discrepancies in job costing or expense records and report them promptly.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and handle information with integrity.

• Contribute to improving accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

Qualification & Experience:

• 1–2 years of accounting experience in the logistics industry is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of job-wise accounting, reconciliations, and expense tracking.

• Proficiency in accounting systems, preferably ERP-based systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Good communication and coordination skills to work with operations teams.
