Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper ledger classification and accuracy.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice verification and payment follow-ups.

• Perform bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.

• Prepare monthly financial reports such as trial balance, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.

• Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring company expenses to ensure cost control.

• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing necessary schedules and reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with VAT/GST and other statutory regulations by maintaining accurate documentation.

• Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary financial data during internal and external audits.

• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for future reference and compliance.

• Monitor cash flow and assist management in financial planning and decision-making.

• Identify discrepancies in financial records and resolve them in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA are an added advantage.

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel for reporting and data analysis.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

• Good communication skills for coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
