Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Maintain financial records and reports, keeping accounts up to date for management review.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger accurately and on time.
• Maintain ledger accounts, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring proper classification of transactions.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) by processing invoices, verifying documentation, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
• Manage accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded and discrepancies resolved.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, supporting management with accurate financial data.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho) for accurate bookkeeping and reporting.
• Generate financial reports for internal stakeholders to support strategic decisions.
• Assist in audit preparation, providing necessary documents, reconciliations, and reports for internal and external audits.
• Monitor expenses and cash flow, highlighting areas for cost optimization.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for all financial records, ensuring easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, operations, and management to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in corporate or multi-industry environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho.
• Good understanding of local VAT, corporate tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
