Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and financial documentation.
• Prepare and process customer invoices, supplier invoices, and payment vouchers.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
• Monitor and maintain petty cash transactions and records.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain General Ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Assist with VAT-related documentation, calculations, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare basic accounting reports and summaries for management review.
• Coordinate with project teams, procurement departments, and vendors regarding financial transactions.
• Monitor expenses and ensure proper allocation of costs.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documents and information.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters.

Requirements

• UAE accounting experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Experience in construction or contracting companies will be a significant advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP or similar accounting software.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Experience handling invoices, payments, petty cash, bank reconciliations, VAT, and basic financial reports.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
