Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare journal entries, invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and credit notes.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Maintain General Ledger (GL) accounts and supporting schedules.
• Process supplier payments and customer receipts accurately.
• Verify accounting documents before posting transactions.
• Monitor petty cash and company expenses.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Reconcile supplier, customer, and ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Reports.
• Generate management reports using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.

VAT & Compliance

• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns accurately and within deadlines.
• Maintain VAT documentation and supporting records.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Assist during internal and external audits.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Administrative Support

• Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices and financial documentation.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Prepare accounting schedules and management reports.
• Assist the Finance Manager with special accounting projects.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in UAE VAT and VAT filing.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Experience in the logistics industry is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
