Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries accurately.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Prepare payment vouchers and monitor customer collections.
• Verify financial transactions and supporting documents before processing.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) accounts and accounting records.

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile supplier, customer, and ledger accounts regularly.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning.
• Prepare financial schedules and management reports as required.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company financial policies.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Support VAT documentation and statutory reporting where applicable.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.
• Identify and report accounting discrepancies for timely resolution.

Administrative Support

• Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and financial records.
• Assist management with budgeting and financial analysis.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Zoho Books, and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Experience with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
