Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Manage daily accounting operations and bookkeeping activities.
• Record invoices, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries accurately.
• Maintain the General Ledger and supporting accounting schedules.
• Verify accounting documents and ensure transactions are properly authorized.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Ensure all accounting documentation is properly organized and filed.

UAE VAT & FTA Compliance

• Prepare and review VAT returns in accordance with UAE FTA regulations.
• Maintain accurate VAT records and supporting documentation.
• Review input and output VAT transactions for accuracy.
• Assist with VAT reconciliation and compliance activities.
• Ensure accounting practices comply with applicable UAE tax requirements.
• Support management with VAT-related documentation and reporting.

Bank & Accounts Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Monitor supplier payments and customer collections.
• Maintain petty cash records and reconcile petty cash balances.
• Ensure customer and supplier accounts are accurately maintained.

Financial Reporting & Closing

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and accounting schedules.
• Analyze financial information and identify significant variances.
• Support budgeting and financial analysis when required.
• Maintain accurate records for management review.
• Assist with preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.

Audit & Compliance

• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Provide auditors with required financial records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain effective internal accounting controls.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist in improving accounting procedures and financial processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• UAE accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and accounting principles.
• Practical experience with bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using ERP software is required or preferred.
• Odoo knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
