Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Process supplier payments and monitor customer collections.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) accounts and supporting schedules.
• Verify financial documents and supporting records before processing.
• Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions.

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile supplier, customer, and ledger accounts.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial records and identify discrepancies for timely resolution.
• Prepare management reports using Microsoft Excel.

Logistics & Operational Support

• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams regarding billing and shipment-related documentation.
• Verify freight invoices, vendor charges, and logistics expenses.
• Monitor customer payments and outstanding receivables.
• Maintain accurate records of freight costs and logistics transactions.
• Assist in tracking operational expenses and budget utilization.

Compliance & Administration

• Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and financial regulations.
• Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Assist with VAT documentation and statutory reporting where applicable.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in the Freight Forwarding & Logistics industry will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial record keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional attitude with integrity and confidentiality.
