Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Assist in recording daily financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare and post journal entries, payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and credit notes.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) entries and supporting documentation.
• Verify supplier invoices and customer payments before processing.
• Process expense claims and petty cash transactions.
• Ensure all accounting records are complete and properly maintained.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve account discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer, supplier, and ledger balances.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial schedules and management reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Generate reports using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain organized accounting records for audit purposes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies.
• Assist in preparing VAT and tax-related documentation where applicable.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company data.
• Monitor financial documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Administrative Support

• Coordinate with procurement, sales, HR, and operations departments regarding financial documentation.
• Respond to finance-related queries from internal teams.
• Maintain filing systems for accounting records and reports.
• Support senior accountants and finance managers with assigned projects.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
