General Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Manage daily accounting activities, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Record journal entries, invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and financial transactions accurately.
• Handle customer invoicing, payment processing, collections, and supplier payments.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting financial documentation.
• Ensure timely recording of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on customer payments.

Financial Management

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, management summaries, and supporting schedules.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Generate reports using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

VAT & Compliance

• Support UAE VAT filing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Maintain VAT records and prepare documentation for tax submissions.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company data.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Administrative & Coordination

• Coordinate with management and other departments regarding accounting matters.
• Support finance-related projects and reporting requirements.
• Maintain organized filing systems for accounting documents.
• Perform additional accounting duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of UAE accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT (Mandatory).
• Experience using Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the consultancy or service industry.
• Exposure to multi-company accounting environments.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and cash flow management.
• Knowledge of ERP systems is an added advantage.
