Junior Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Assist with day-to-day accounting activities and financial transactions.
• Record journal entries and update accounting records accurately.
• Process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and expense claims.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Verify financial documents before processing payments.
• Maintain the General Ledger and supporting schedules.
• Ensure all accounting transactions are properly documented.

Financial Records & Documentation

• Maintain organized financial records and accounting files.
• Update accounting databases with accurate financial information.
• Ensure proper filing of invoices, receipts, and supporting documents.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and company records.
• Assist in preparing documents required for audits and compliance.

Payroll & Bank Reconciliation Support

• Support payroll processing by preparing payroll-related financial data.
• Assist in maintaining payroll records and employee payment documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer, supplier, and ledger accounts.
• Monitor cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Prepare financial schedules and management reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Provide accounting support to the finance team as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting principles.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is an added advantage.
