Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage and support day-to-day accounting activities according to the level of the position.
• Record journal entries, invoices, receipts, payments, expenses, and other financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger and supporting accounting records.
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and management reports.
• Review accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide financial information and analysis to management when required.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure reports are prepared accurately and within deadlines.

VAT & FTA Compliance

• Maintain accurate records required for UAE VAT compliance.
• Assist with VAT calculations, returns, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accounting transactions comply with UAE VAT and FTA requirements.
• Maintain proper tax-related records for review and audit purposes.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial documentation.
• Stay updated with relevant accounting and compliance requirements.

Software & Data Management

• Work with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Enter and maintain financial data accurately within accounting systems.
• Use Microsoft Excel for reconciliations, financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
• Support improvements in accounting systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant accounting experience is required.
• Junior Accountants should have a good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
• Senior Accountants should have strong practical experience in financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and FTA compliance is required.
• Experience in a UAE accounting environment will be an advantage.
