Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage daily accounting and financial activities accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and post journal entries, adjustments, accruals, and other accounting transactions.
• Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
• Ensure accounting records are updated within required timelines.
• Assist management with financial information and accounting-related analysis.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Review supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
• Monitor customer receivables and outstanding balances.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts regularly.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve account discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate recording of receipts, payments, credit notes, and debit notes.
• Maintain proper documentation for all AP and AR transactions.

Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management

• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Compare bank statements with accounting system records.
• Identify and resolve unmatched or unusual transactions.
• Monitor cash balances and support cash flow management activities.
• Maintain accurate bank and cash-related accounting records.
• Prepare reconciliation schedules and supporting documents for management review.

General Ledger & Closing

• Manage and maintain General Ledger (GL) accounts.
• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Review account balances and ensure all required transactions are recorded.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate differences.
• Prepare closing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Ensure closing activities are completed accurately and within deadlines.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial information and identify significant variances.
• Prepare management reports and accounting schedules as required.
• Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete, and supported by appropriate documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities when required.
• Provide reliable financial information to management for decision-making.

Tally, ERP & Excel

• Use Tally or ERP systems to manage and maintain accounting records.
• Ensure financial transactions are entered accurately into the accounting system.
• Generate accounting reports and financial data from ERP platforms.
• Use advanced Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Prepare reports using Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF, XLOOKUP, and other Excel functions.
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards and analytical spreadsheets.
• Improve reporting efficiency through effective use of Excel and accounting technology.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure accounting activities comply with accounting principles, standards, and company policies.
• Maintain appropriate internal controls over financial transactions.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Provide accurate financial records and supporting documents when requested.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
• Identify accounting control weaknesses and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting.
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting activities.
• Proficiency in Tally and/or ERP accounting systems.
