Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and bookkeeping activities.
• Record invoices, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries accurately.
• Maintain the General Ledger and supporting accounting records.
• Verify accounting documents and ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Maintain accurate physical and digital financial records.
• Ensure accounting entries are completed within established deadlines.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices and payment documentation.
• Maintain accurate Accounts Payable (AP) records.
• Prepare and maintain customer invoices and Accounts Receivable (AR) records.
• Monitor outstanding supplier and customer balances.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.

Bank Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Compare bank statements with accounting records.
• Investigate unmatched or incorrect transactions.
• Maintain accurate reconciliation schedules.
• Monitor cash and bank transactions.
• Report significant discrepancies to senior management.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare accounting schedules and financial summaries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with budgeting and financial analysis when required.
• Provide accurate accounting information for management decision-making.
• Maintain supporting documentation for financial reviews and audits.

Compliance & Documentation

• Follow company accounting policies and financial procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Assist with tax and regulatory compliance requirements where applicable.
• Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and properly organized.
• Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience with bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
