Key Responsibilities

Retail Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for 10+ retail outlets/shops.
• Record and monitor daily sales, purchases, expenses, and financial transactions.
• Ensure accurate posting of journal entries and General Ledger (GL) transactions.
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Monitor cash collections, bank deposits, and petty cash transactions.
• Verify invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting financial documents.

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial performance across multiple retail outlets.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

VAT & Corporate Tax Compliance

• Prepare and maintain documentation for UAE VAT compliance.
• Support UAE Corporate Tax calculations and reporting requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of tax-related reports and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist during internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records.

Administrative & Business Support

• Maintain organized accounting records and financial documentation.
• Generate management reports using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Coordinate with store managers regarding financial transactions and reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform additional finance-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Experience handling accounting operations for 10+ retail outlets or shops.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT regulations.
• Excellent understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
