Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and credit notes.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) efficiently.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts.
• Process supplier payments and customer receipts on time.
• Verify accounting documents and supporting records before processing.
• Maintain petty cash and monitor company expenses.
• Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Generate Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve account discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Prepare management reports using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Analyze financial data and recommend process improvements.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies.
• Assist with VAT, tax documentation, and statutory reporting where applicable.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Maintain organized accounting records for audit purposes.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls and accounting procedures.

Administrative Support

• Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial transactions.
• Maintain organized filing systems for financial records.
• Assist management with accounting analysis and reporting.
• Support finance-related projects and administrative activities.
• Perform additional accounting duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
