Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
• Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and expenses.
• Prepare and process journal entries and accounting documents.
• Verify invoices, receipts, vouchers, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and within the required timelines.
• Maintain proper physical and electronic accounting records.
• Follow company accounting procedures and internal financial controls.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) activities and supplier invoice processing.
• Maintain accurate supplier records and payment documentation.
• Support Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including customer invoicing and receipt recording.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with payment follow-ups.
• Reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution.
• Ensure accounting records reflect accurate customer and supplier balances.

Bank & Account Reconciliation

• Perform or assist with regular bank reconciliations.
• Compare bank statements with accounting system records.
• Identify discrepancies, missing transactions, or incorrect entries.
• Assist with reconciliation of general ledger, supplier, and customer accounts.
• Maintain reconciliation schedules and supporting documents.
• Report unresolved differences to senior finance personnel.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly and periodic financial reports.
• Prepare accounting schedules, summaries, and supporting statements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist with maintaining accurate general ledger records.
• Provide financial information required by management.
• Ensure reports and accounting schedules are prepared accurately and on time.
• Support senior accountants with financial analysis and reporting requirements.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
• Ensure invoices, receipts, vouchers, contracts, and other accounting records are properly filed.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Provide supporting documents when requested by auditors or management.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Follow applicable company policies and accounting procedures.
• Assist with ensuring financial records are complete and audit-ready.

Coordination & Administrative Support

• Coordinate with finance, procurement, sales, operations, and other departments.
• Respond to routine accounting-related queries professionally.
• Assist in resolving invoice, payment, and reconciliation issues.
• Support the finance team during busy reporting and closing periods.
• Maintain professional communication with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
• Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
• UAE/GCC-based candidates are preferred.
