Chief Accountant Full Time

Chief Accountant jobs in Dubai are highly sought after within the UAE’s growing corporate and audit sector. MOOSA ABDULRAHMAN HASSAN & CO. is seeking experienced finance professionals with strong expertise in UAE corporate tax regulations, VAT compliance, IFRS financial reporting, audit assurance, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation. Candidates with hands-on experience in SAP FICO, Oracle ERP finance systems, treasury management, budgeting and forecasting, and internal audit coordination will play a strategic leadership role in strengthening financial governance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and industry-specific requirements within the automotive sector.

• Manage cash flow planning, monitoring, and forecasting to maintain financial stability and liquidity.

• Develop and control annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in alignment with company objectives.

• Supervise accounting staff, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risks.

• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution of audit findings.

• Monitor inventory valuation, cost control, and revenue recognition processes specific to automotive operations.

• Analyze financial data and provide management with strategic insights and recommendations.

• Oversee tax filings, VAT compliance, and other statutory reporting requirements.

• Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.

• Ensure accurate tracking of automotive sales, service revenue, spare parts inventory, and related financial transactions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA is highly preferred.

• Extensive experience in accounting and finance, preferably within the automotive sector.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
