Job Responsibilities

CLEANING AND CHECKING:

• High number of qualitative cleaned rooms, which radiate a perfectly comfortable atmosphere.
• Checking vacant rooms
• Cleaning and re-supplying the given number of guest rooms, including the bathrooms, maintaining Emirates Park Resort Standards.
• Cleaning the corridors, , the work equipment and the workplace, the work apparatus and the office
• Carrying out basic cleaning work
• Correct daily hand-over at the end of the shift to the Housekeeping Team Leader/Supervisor
• Drawing up and removing additional beds and cots
• Transport and sorting of dirty linen
• Follow the schedule of “deep cleaning” and/or “special tasks”REPAIRS
• Minimize unnecessary work for the technical department
• Reporting technical defects and having the necessary repairs done (changing burnt out light bulbs himself)CARE OF GUESTS:
•  Make the guest feel welcome & at home
• Friendly and helpful attitude to guests, always greet/acknowledge when meeting in the hallways/room.LOST PROPERTY:
• Return as many items as possible back to the guest

• Checking the hotel rooms for lost property – adherence to the Lost Property Regulations
• Induction training of trainees and apprentices

SAFETY & Security:

• Ensure a safe environment for our guests and Team Members at all times
• Aware of the joint responsibility for safety in our hotel and abides strictly by all the safety instructions, especially when operating the machines and equipment.
• Behave at all times in such a way as to avoid accidents.
• Is able to raise the internal alarms correctly
• Know how to what to do in case of an evacuation/fire alarm or other emergencies (i.e. bomb threats).
• Ensure that all front doors and stores belonging to the department, as well as the key cabinet for the whole department, are kept locked at all times
• Adherence to all directives and the safety regulations
• Handling master keys in accordance with the Keys Regulations on own responsibility
• Regular participation in training courses for fire protection, health and safety at work and handling hazardous substancesTeam work & Communication:
• Efficient and friendly support to other Team Member within own and other departments
• Take part in Communication Meetings on a regular basis.
• Approach his supervisors in confidence if any problems arise.
• Always co-operate with colleagues and supervisors in the department.
• Is obliged to take part in internal training courses and to implement what has been learnt in daily practice.Product knowledge:
• Know about the facilities of Emirates Park Zoo and Resort in general
• Be able to give correct information to fellow Team Members and/or to guests regarding the Zoo and Resort.
