Site Accountant Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Site Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities at the project site.
• Record all site-related financial transactions accurately.
• Maintain General Ledger (GL) entries and supporting documentation.
• Process supplier invoices, payment requests, and expense claims.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) related to site operations.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenses remain within approved budgets.
• Verify invoices, delivery notes, and supporting documents before processing.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site expense reports.
• Maintain accurate records of cash transactions and petty cash.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations where applicable.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and project cost reports.
• Track labor costs, subcontractor payments, and material expenses.
• Provide timely financial updates to the Finance Manager and Project Manager.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain organized financial records, vouchers, invoices, and payment documents.
• Ensure all accounting documentation complies with company policies.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Maintain proper filing systems for financial and project records.
• Ensure confidentiality of company financial information.
• Follow company accounting procedures and internal controls.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with procurement, stores, project engineers, and head office finance teams.
• Monitor material purchases and inventory-related financial records.
• Support payroll documentation and attendance-related financial information when required.
• Assist management with additional accounting and administrative duties.
• Ensure smooth communication between the site office and finance department.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Site Accountant in a contracting company.
• Immediate availability to join is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial documentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a site-based environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
