Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) by processing supplier invoices and ensuring timely payments.
• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR), monitor customer collections, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Record daily financial transactions, journal entries, receipts, and payment vouchers.
• Maintain the General Ledger (GL) and ensure financial data is accurate and complete.
• Verify accounting documents and supporting records before processing transactions.
• Maintain organized financial records for future reference and audits.

Financial Reporting

• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Generate Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Reports.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Support management by providing financial reports and business insights.

Compliance & Financial Analysis

• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in VAT return preparation.
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial documentation.
• Perform financial analysis to identify trends and improve operational efficiency.
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls.

Systems & Administration

• Maintain accurate accounting records using ERP systems.
• Utilize ERPNext for financial processing where applicable.
• Prepare reports and financial analysis using Microsoft Excel.
• Coordinate with procurement, HR, operations, and management regarding financial matters.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (ERPNext is an advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong numerical abilities.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Professional attitude and commitment to confidentiality.
