Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and bookkeeping activities.
• Record journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payment transactions.
• Maintain accurate General Ledger and subsidiary ledger records.
• Verify accounting documents and supporting information.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
• Maintain organized digital and physical accounting records.

Accounts Payable

• Process supplier invoices and payment requests.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate supplier account balances.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding payables and payment schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding payment matters.

Accounts Receivable

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately.
• Record customer receipts and payment transactions.
• Maintain accurate customer account records.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and overdue balances.
• Follow up on pending customer payments when required.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.

Bank Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Match bank transactions with accounting records.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences.
• Monitor cash transactions and account balances.
• Maintain accurate bank reconciliation statements.
• Report unusual or outstanding transactions to management.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
• Prepare accounting schedules and financial summaries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist with financial analysis and budgeting activities.
• Provide accurate financial information to management.
• Maintain supporting documents for audits and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Good knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures.
• Understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet financial deadlines.
