Key Responsibilities

• Provide full, confidential, secretarial, and administrative support as required.
• Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, parents, students, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
• Screen all incoming telephone calls and visitors, dealing with enquiries appropriately and directing them to the relevant person or department.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students regarding queries, problems, complaints, and general information through face-to-face interactions, telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence.

• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail distribution and email communications.

  • Open Evenings
  • Residential Visits
  • School Productions and Performances
• Provide general clerical and administrative support, including:
  • Photocopying documents
  • Filing and maintaining records
  • Scanning and document management
  • Completing standard forms
  • Data entry and record updates
• Maintain accurate databases, filing systems, and administrative records.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and maintaining calendars when required.
• Support the coordination and administration of Extra-Curricular Activities, including registrations, communications, attendance records, and event arrangements.
• Ensure the reception area remains organized, professional, and presentable at all times.
• Monitor visitor sign-in procedures and maintain appropriate security and safeguarding protocols.
• Order and manage office and reception supplies as required.
• Work constructively and collaboratively as part of a team, understanding school roles, responsibilities, and the contribution of the Receptionist role to the wider organization.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support other departments when required.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Principal or the PA to the Principal.
